The heart was painted with blood red....Hi Christian
The heart was painted with blood red. It was washed with a blood red/black mix to shade and highlighted with a blood red/white mix up to almost pure white highlights. You need this strong contrast so it shows through the shiny blood.
The shiny blood is a translucent mix of red gore, tamiya smoke and GW water effects (all thinned with a little water). I built up a few coats over the heart allowing it to blend with the pool of blood in the dish.David Soperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07358848881843128133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6374187419315993017.post-24607648079201169072012-11-07T09:20:42.527+00:002012-11-07T09:20:42.527+00:00Can I just ask what colours you used on the heart ...Can I just ask what colours you used on the heart and was the shiny effect just from using gloss varnish?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12278082521170463687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6374187419315993017.post-30135466730307887682012-10-26T15:11:23.639+01:002012-10-26T15:11:23.639+01:00Your blog is one of the most inspiring out there ;...Your blog is one of the most inspiring out there ;) Great job!
